The DPHR is a narrow gauge (2ft) common carrier railway company, focusing on moving passengers and goods on a large, elegant, and well-constructed narrow-gauge network. The DPHR's building style is primarily reminiscent of 20th-century England and Wales, and much of the setting is inspired by the rugged vistas and coastlines of North Wales; but the network eventually will include sections inspired by the sprawling Narrow Gauge of South Africa. The DPHR is the only company on Nordale to be primarily Narrow Gauge; and the DPHR's network ranges from winding slate lines to long, double-track mainlines. The DPHR's rolling stock is primarily Welsh in nature; but the end goal is for the network's stock to take on a distinctly colonial flair.
